The operation of TSUBAME3 has started on 5:00 pm on April 7th. The main changes are as follows.

1. (Tokyo Tech users) Please check the budget codes before applying for TSUBAME's payment code. University's budget system has replaced
2. System software version and the default version of the applications have changed
3. Memory limit in f_node has changed to 235GB
4. Resource Limits per user have changed
5. Job execution via Docker containers has temporally disabled
6. Now Jupyter Lab is available via TSUBAME Portal (Temporally suspended)
7. We started accepting applications for research based on competitive funds and joint research contracts for FY2020
8. The login name has changed if your Tokyo Tech IC card number has changed

支払コード申請時の予算コードおよび予算名称は以下の手順で取得してください

• 新物品等請求システムにログイン
• 予算管理 を選択
• 予算執行状況確認 を選択
• CSV作成 を選択
• 出力されたCSVファイルの「予算コード」(32桁)および「予算名称」を転記

予算コードの桁数が多く、システム上の表示をコピー&ペーストする際に先頭や末尾が切れる可能性がありますので、上記方法での取得をお願いいたします。

また、新型コロナウィルスに伴う出勤停止期間中は一部の予算コードについて実在確認を保留して承認する場合があります。事後の修正が不要となるよう、正確な申請をお願いいたします。

2. System software version and the default version of the applications have changed

We have upgraded OS from SLES12 SP2 to SLES12 SP4. As the library environment has changed drastically, We strongly recommend recompiling binaries that have compiled on SP2. In MPI programs, recompiling is requisite.

Changes in applications

• As Java support policy has changed, we stopped providing Oracle JDK and started providing OpenJDK instead.
  As Oracle insists old versions of Oracle JDK have security issues, we deleted current installations of Oracle JDKs.
  Please use OpenJDK instead.

5. Job execution via Docker containers has temporally disabled

As we found glitches in system software that breaks compute nodes when the Docker jobs tried to run, we have temporally disabled Docker job execution. We don't have a planned recovery date.

You can still use Singularity containers.

6. Now Jupyter Lab is available via TSUBAME Portal (Temporally suspended)

Temporally suspended due to malfunctions, will be fixed soon.

We have added new feature that enables web application execution from the TSUBAME portal. You can use Jupyter Lab without SSH.

Please note that the login name and home directory path will be changed automatically. Your SSH public keys still work.
