Countermeasure for Intel OneAPI Security Vulnerability(1/20)

A critical security vulnerability has been announced in Intel oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler 2022.2.1 and earlier versions.

It has been confirmed that the Intel C++ compiler (icpc,icpx), which can be used with intel/21.5.0 and earlier modules installed on TSUBAME, is affected.

  • Stopped using intel/21.5.0 and earlier versions
    • The module can be loaded, but icpc. icpx will not be available
  • Released intel/23.0.0(OneAPI 2023.0.0)
  • Change the default version of the module file from  intel/21.5.0 to intel/23.0.0

 

There will be no system outages as a result of the work.
Existing programs and running jobs will not be affected.
If you have explicitly specified an older version in module load, the compiler may fail to execute.
