Applying Materials Studio / Discovery Studio license limitation(11/6 done)

2019.11.01

For fair use of Materials Studio / Discovery Studio, the following license (token) restrictions have been implemented.

1. The following restrictions have applied to all functions of Materials Studio / Discovery Studio.

(1) Set the upper limit per license (MSI_TokenR) to 6 tokens. This is the total number of tokens used for all functions. The total number of tokens used for each other function is displayed for each job.

(2) Jobs that use 2 tokens + jobs that use 4 tokens can be executed simultaneously.

(3) Materials Studio and Discovery Studio are separate applications, but because the licenses are the same, the total tokens of the two apps cannot exceed 6 simultaneously.

(4) In order to determine the identity of a user based on the user name, for example, if there is a user named “user” on the PC in the laboratory A and a user named “user” on the PC in the laboratory B, they are considered to be the same and subject to restrictions.

2. All of restrictions that have been put in place are still applied.

There is a possibility that the restriction will be tightened so that more people can use it, and the restriction may be relaxed outside of the busy season.
