【障害報告】一部のジョブ実行後にTSUBAMEポイントが消費されない問題について

2020.2.7

In some jobs, users reported that the TSUBAME points settled temporarily after execution (* 1) were not settled correctly (* 2) and all points were returned.
(In some cases, the point consumption of a job is treated as 0 points regardless of the execution time.)

*1…The point consumption is finally determined by the execution time after the job is completed, but the maximum possible point consumption from the specified parameter is deducted from the point balance before submitting the job.

*2…Returns the difference between the temporary hold points and the points actually consumed. This may take up to three days.

■Impact range
A review of the history shows that there were approximately 27,000 jobs in January 2020 (approximately 15% of all jobs in the current month) that may have had similar problems. It is found that there is a small number of similar cases.

■Cause
Details are under investigation, but it has been found that if the number of jobs increases, correct execution information cannot be obtained during the checkout process, and it may be incorrectly determined that "the job was canceled before execution".

■Coping
Canceled the process that caused a settlement problem, and prevented the same problem from recurring.

■Future actions
We are now recalculating the points that should have been consumed accurately. If this calculation result is reflected in the point balance, the system will be trusted and it may be a disadvantageous modification to users who used it as indicated, so the deadline for points and the deadline for papers are imminent. Considering that this is the end of the current fiscal year, we are considering ways to respond to the situation without maximizing the disadvantages of users. We will inform you of this obstacle as soon as progress is made.
